Unemployment less than 1 percent
The latest unemployment figures from September this year reveal an unemployment rate of 0.9 percent, equivalent to 265 full-time unemployed people, reports Statistics Faroe Islands.
In September 2020, the unemployment rate was 1.4 percent.
The unemployment rate for September 2021 was 0.9 percent for both sexes. In September 2020, 1.2 percent of men and 1.6 percent of women were registered as unemployed.

The ALS Unemployment Service website currently lists 192 people as being unemployed and 369 as registered in the fish factory system.
The website currently has 94 job listings.
In September 2021, 15.6 percent of those listed as unemployed had been out of work for more than one year. In September 2020, this figure was 9.9 percent.
