Best year ever for hotels

Last year was the best year for Faroese hotels since Statistics Faroe Islands began compiling hotel stats in 2013.

Record-high figures were registered across all three key metrics – overnight stays (number of visitors and duration of their stays), occupancy rates (number of available rooms used) and check-ins (number of guests regardless of stay duration).

Last year’s total of almost 175,000 overnight stays was almost twice that of 2020.
