Strong winds expected tonight

Homeowners are advised to prepare for strong winds tonight and tomorrow morning.

To avoid loose objects from turning into hazardous projectiles, people are advised to secure any loose objects, including trampolines and garden furniture, around their homes.

“We know from experience that when this type of weather occurs at this time of year, loose objects can easily be sent flying,” says police officer Bjarni Nattestad.

“So, it would make good sense to take a walk around the house and secure loose objects or take them inside.”
