Faroese ’Siri’ in the making

Programmers are working on automatic speech recognition software which can convert speech to text in Faroese.

The Ministry of Culture has earmarked DKK 700,000 for the project this year, and next year’s appropriation will be increased to DKK 1 million.

According to the project description, the project is expected to cost DKK 6 million.
