Man in custody after stabbing incident

A man in his late 20s was yesterday remanded in custody for 15 days, accused of having stabbed another man.

On Saturday night, police received a report of a man, also in his 20s, having been stabbed in the leg.

Two men, who knew each other, were involved in a verbal altercation, which escalated to a point where one of them drew a knife and stabbed the other one.

No serious injury

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment and has now been discharged.

Police have interviewed a number of people, and there are no indications of alcohol being involved in the incident. Blood tests have been taken for further investigations.
