Four new Covid cases

Yesterday’s round of 571 Covid tests yielded four positive outcomes, reports corona.fo.

Three are linked to a known chain of infection, while it is not yet clear how the fourth, a Faroese resident, contracted the virus. All four have been isolated and contact tracing is underway.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 7, 1, 3, 6, 5, 6 and 4.

One person is currently receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and the latest figures show that 153 people are in quarantine.
