This junction, near Norðskála on the Eysturoy side of the Streymoy-Eysturoy bridge, has been the site of many serious traffic accidents

Sunda municipality and its residents have for years been calling for changes to a notoriously unsafe road junction near the Streymoy-Eysturoy bridge.
It now looks like something will finally be done to improve traffic safety around the junction.
Sunda town council has presented road authority Landsverk with a set of proposed solutions, which Landsverk’s road safety experts will be assessing over the coming days and weeks.
