Learn to compost vegetables

If you have a package you want to send to planet Earth, bring your leftover vegetables to Tórshavn’s Nordic House.

This is the message from Frítt flog (Free flight), which is a festival where children and teenagers across the country are invited to learn about compost.

From 15 to 23 April, the Nordic House will feature a specially built compost house.

Bring your leftover greens

Visitors are invited to bring to the compost house a bag containing leftover vegetables, fruits, tea & coffee grounds, etc. (not meat, cheese, fish, bread, prepared vegetables, etc.).

The compost house contains a special exhibition about compost and ecosystems.
