Photos: students protest over CCTV in college

The last day of school at Glasir is traditionally a day of fun and games.
Students start the day by dressing in silly costumes and then going out on the roads to stop traffic, as can be seen in this article from last year.
But the fun can easily turn into a safety hazard, says Glasir’s finance and administrative director, Janus Isfeldt.
“The last day of school is quite special here. Some years, we have had students wandering around the school at night, and that is a safety concern for us. We have also had some instances of vandalism in previous years.”
“Big brother is watching”
The students are not very happy about this, and yesterday they decided to protest by blocking the stairs, effectively bringing all teaching activity in the school to a standstill.
Many of the students KvF spoke to said they felt uncomfortable about suddenly being under constant surveillance without having been consulted on the matter.
Here are some of the photos from the protest.
