Write about your conception of ‘home’

Libraries and The Faroese Writer’s Union encourage people of all nationalities to take part in their short story writing contest as part of the Multicultural Week '23.
People are invited to submit a 1,000-1,500 word short story about the subject of ‘Home’.
You can write in one of the following languages: Faroese, English, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Icelandic, German, French, Spanish, Ukrainian and Russian.
The winner will be awarded a DKK 10,000 prize. The submission period is 15 June to 1 October 2023. Entries must be typed.

Submit your story to: fjolmentan@gmail.com by midnight on 1 October 2023.
Remember to include your full name, email address, phone number and the municipality in which you live. Feel free to include further information about yourself.
A panel of judges will decide the winner and may translate submitted stories into Faroese or English. The panel claims the right to publish stories for up to a year after the submission deadline.
The competition was announced on the website of the Faroese Writers' Union (Rithøvundafelag Føroya) on 5 July.
