June kicks off with a night of culture

Mentanarnáttin (Culture Night) has gone from strength to strength since it was first held in 2001.

The Culture Night offers a wide range of family-friendly entertainment throughout the city, most of which free of charge, according to a Visit Tórshavn press release.

Visitors and locals alike will be given the chance to see the very best of the city’s cultural offerings.

Along with numerous concerts, there will be special presentations at museums, galleries and exhibition spaces across the city.

Shops will be open until midnight, and restaurants, cafés and hotels are expected to be busier than usual, so it might be a good idea to book in advance.
