Mayor wants to ban "noisy" Russian ships

Residents in and around Kollafjørður, Streymoy, have been complaining for years about noise coming from Russian ships docked at Kollafjørður harbour.

This has now prompted Tórshavn City Council to start looking for ways to solve the problem.

“These ships are very noisy, and we are now looking at various solutions, one of which could be to ban Russian ships from docking at Kollafjørður harbour,” says mayor Annika Olsen.
