Great demand for new homes in Eiði

The population of Eiði, Eysturoy, is at an all-time high. And this prosperity is showing no signs of slowing down, as demand for new houses continues.

The Town Council recently purchased new land for five new homes. However, this is not enough to meet the demand. Ten people have signed up for new homes, which has prompted the council to consider further expanding the housing supply.

“We now have a firm idea of the housing demand in our town, and there appears to be general support within the council to purchase more land for housing development,” says mayor Jógvan í Skorini.
