New technology in schools

New technology in schools
All fourth-grade pupils will be given a so-called Micro Bit, which will boost their understanding of technology

30.01.2019 - 09:12

Primary school teachers will now attend courses on how to use the Micro Bit in preparation for the next school year.

All fourth graders will be given a Micro Bit, and fifth and sixth graders will also have the option to receive one. The Micro Bit is an open source hardware embedded system designed by the BBC for use in computer education in the UK.

It was designed to encourage children to get actively involved in technical activities such as coding and electronics.

The Micro Bit has become an integral part of primary school education in Denmark and Greenland.
