Annual literature awards handed out

This year’s M.A. Jacobsen Culture and Literature Awards included four categories: fiction, non-fiction, children’s books and special cultural achievement.

Oddfríður Marni Rasmussen won the fiction category for his novel “Ikki fyrr enn tá”.

The non-fiction award went to Hanus Kamban for his biography of author Hans Andrias Djurhuus.

Bergur Rasmussen won the children’s books awards for his translations of children’s books such as the Harry Potter series.

Bernharður Wilkinson, the conductor of the national symphony orchestra, was honoured for his special cultural achievement.
