First GPs move into Tórshavn’s new surgery

The first doctors have now moved into the new 1,250 square-metre GP surgery at Kirkjustræti in Hoyvík.

The GPs who will work in the new building are Bjarni Wardum, Turið Holm Johannesen, Amalia Danielsen, Birni Hansen and Guðrun Mortensen.

Tórshavn City Council has signed a 15-year rental deal for the building, with a monthly rent of DKK 128,000, totalling DKK 23 million over the 15-year rental period.

All 14 GP positions in Tórshavn have now been filled and all citizens now have a GP, the council announced earlier this year.
