Applications open for Christmas support

Childcare agency Barnabati has been offering Christmas support to families since 2016.

The first year, 465 children received support. In 2017, the figure was 455 and last year it was 500. 

Barnabati has received an average of around 300 applications since the initiative started.

Gift vouchers

The Christmas support consists of gift vouchers from retailers Keypssamtøkan and SMS. Adults receive vouchers worth DKK 1,000, children younger than 13 receive DKK 300, while teens aged 14-17 receive DKK 500.

Barnabati says that if the number of eligible applicants exceeds the allocation, support is granted to those who need it the most.
