It appears that we need to brace ourselves for stormy weather for the next week or two, according to the Danish Meteorological Institute.

Houses in Leirvík, Fuglafjørður and Tvøroyri suffered wind damage in last night’s storm, while a caravan in Skopun and a shed in Tórshavn were seconds away from being ripped away by the wind.

A container in Hvalba was sent flying, but locals managed to get it under control. Roadside fences were torn up by the wind and flew onto the road in several locations across the country, while gusts left rocks scattered on the Tjørnuvík road.
