A total of DKK 1,864,000 was today distributed across eight sports disciplines
Fifteen athletes and teams were today awarded the sports subsidies for 2020

As in previous years, the Faroese Swimming Association was handed the largest share of the annual sports subsidies for 2020, with a total of DKK 569,400.

The national volleyball, handball and gymnastics teams were also awarded relatively substantial subsidies.

Here is a list of how the elite sports subsidies for 2020 were distributed:

The Faroese Volleyball Association: DKK 200,000

U17 boys: DKK 100,000

U17 girls: DKK 100,000

The Faroese Gymnastics Association: DKK 245,000

Rani Allanson Dalsgarð: DKK 150,000

The national men’s artistic gymnastics team: DKK 95,000

The Faroese Athletics Federation: DKK 130,000

Rebekka Fuglø: DKK 80,000

The national girls’ throwing team: DKK 50,000

The Faroese Handball Federation: DKK 300,000

U02 men: DKK 300,000

Parasport Føroyar: DKK 150,000

Hávard Vatnhamar: DKK 150,000

The Faroese Swimming Association: DKK 569,400

Signhild Joensen: DKK 150,000

Vár E. Eidesgaard: DKK 150,000

Rókur Trygvason: DKK 122,400
