Drones revolutionise search & rescue
Drones revolutionise search & rescue
Search and rescue operations are set to become significantly quicker and easier after the purchase of two drones

The National Association of Rescue Services is training volunteer rescuers across the country to use drones in their search & rescue operations.
Last week, 16 men attended a course on using drones for the purpose of searching for missing persons or objects.
“The drones are fitted with heat-seeking cameras which work just as well in complete darkness as in daylight, and they can detect thermal energy for up to two kilometres,” says Jens Hansen, a member of the National Association of Rescue Services.
“So there’s no doubt that this will vastly improve our search and rescue work.”
