Nurse strike extends to outpatient care

Nurses will be extending their strike action in all three of the country’s hospitals from Monday.
A statement on the National Union of Nurses website reads as follows:
“As the finance ministry has not budged an inch since the start of the strike on 19 October, we see no other choice than to further extend our strike. As a trade union, we have done everything in our power to ensure that the strike does not put patient health in our hospitals at risk by providing all the necessary strike exceptions.”
