Oyrarbakki post office shuts down
The post office in Oyrarbakki, Eysturoy, will shut down on Wednesday.
According to postal service Posta, there is decreasing demand for post offices, but there are no plans to close more post offices.
The mayor of Sunda municipality, Jógvan Kruse, says that although it is sad to see the post office closing, he is pleased with the recent improvements in delivery services.
The post office building will be taken over by child welfare authority Veks.
