Twelve new Covid cases
There are currently 103 active Covid-19 cases in the country

Yesterday’s 2,680 Covid tests yielded 12 positive outcomes, reports

One tested positive on arrival from abroad and one in a follow-up test four days after arrival. The other ten were infected domestically – eight of these are linked to known chains of infection, while the infection source of two persons remains unknown.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 9, 10, 14, 8, 20, 23 and 12.

One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 669 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on, updated today, 32,477 people (61 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 24,348 (45.7 percent) have received the second shot.

Earlier today, the chief medical officer said: “It would appear that the infection curve has been brought under control, but I really want to emphasise that if we want to have a normal summer, it is crucial that everyone gets vaccinated as soon as possible, so we can achieve our herd immunity.”
