Nine new Covid cases were registered yesterday, reports corona.fo.

Four people were infected domestically and all are linked to known chains of infection. One tested positive on arrival from abroad, one in a follow-up test the day after arrival, two in follow-up tests two days after arrival and one four days after.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 9, 8, 4, 8, 8, 8 and 9.

One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 346 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 34,162 people (64 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 27,389 (50.3 percent) have received the second shot.
