Two new Covid cases
No signs yet of mass infection following last week’s ólavsøka festivities

Yesterday’s 2,191 Covid tests yielded two positive outcomes.

Both were infected domestically. One is linked to a known chain of infection, while the infection source of the other one has yet to be established.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 1, 2, 0, 1, 2, 0 and 2.

There are currently 28 active Covid cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 60 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 34,869 people (65.3 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 29,616 (55.5 percent) have received the second shot.
