Christmas charity concert brings in DKK 880,000

Sunday night’s televised Christmas charity concert netted just over DKK 880,000, organiser Barnabati announced today.

On top of that, DKK 117,000 was donated from the proceeds of a charity flea market held this autumn.

And, as in previous years, Red Cross Faroe Islands donated DKK 1,000 for each Christmas assistance application. With a total of 260 applications, this amounted to DKK 260,000.

Barnabati staff are currently preparing special Christmas letters to 550 children across the country.
