Big increase in airport passenger numbers
January saw an 89-percent year-on-year increase in passenger numbers

A total of 14,647 passengers passed through Vágar Airport last month.
This is an increase of 89 percent on the 7,732 figure from January 2021.

There is, however, some way to go before pre-pandemic figures are reached.
In January 2020, the figure was 23,111 and in January 2019 it was 20,997.
