James Bond gravestone “gives away the plot”

The old adage that any publicity is good publicity is now being put to the test in the Faroes.
This comes after media outlets across the world have picked up on last week's story about the gravestone erected at the Kalsoy site where James Bond died in the latest 007 offering ‘No Time to Die’.
“People who’ve seen No Time To Die kept painstakingly schtum for months. But a new tourist spot has ruined our good work,” writes Stuart Heritage in an article for the Guardian, dated 25 March.
Spoiler alert
“Faroe Islanders have spoiled the ending in the most elaborate way possible: they have erected a gravestone where James Bond died.”
Other media outlets such as Variety, Indiewire and Yahoo News have also reported on the story.
Considering that one of the main objectives of erecting the gravestone was “to put the Faroes on the world map”, according to Kalsoy farmer Jóhannus Kallsgarð, it seems fair to assume that this objective has been met.
