Sharp decline in exports to Russia
Faroese exports to the rest of Europe soared to an all-time monthly high in March

March 2022 saw a big decrease in exports to Russia, reports Statistics Faroe Islands.

In March 2021, Faroese exports to Russia totalled DKK 217 million. One year later, this figure had come down to DKK 74 million.

No farmed fish and significantly lower volumes of pelagic fish were exported to Russia in March 2022.

Meanwhile, exports to other European countries reached an all-time monthly high in March this year, going from DKK 445 million in March 2021 to DKK 740 million in March 2022 – a year-on-year increase of DKK 295 million
