Violence and booze theft in Nólsoy
The streets of Tórshavn were eerily quiet last night as thousands of people had made their way to Nólsoy’s ovastevna.
Among these were some cops from the capital, and they had a busy night in the village.
One person has been charged with assault and another with assault and threats.

Three fines were handed out to people who had behaved in a drunk and disorderly manner.
And two people have been charged with stealing alcohol in Nólsoy.
On a somewhat unrelated note, yesterday morning’s power outage, which spread across most of the country, was due to an engine failure at the Sund power plant.
