Danish website ‘Vi elsker serier’ (‘We love TV series) has voted ‘Ingen vej tilbage’ (’No way back’), directed by Andrias Høgenni, as the best TV series of the 2022.
Høgenni made a name for himself in Denmark when his short film ‘Ikki illa meint’ was awarded the prestigious Robert prize in 2020. This accolade was followed by a Canal+ Award for Short Films at the 72th Cannes Film Festival.
Last year, Høgenni was granted DKK 7 million from Danish public broadcaster DR to write and direct a TV series. The result was ‘Ingen vej tilbage’.
Four Faroese actors feature in the new series – Sissal Drews Hjaltalin, Beinta Clothier, Klæmint Klakk and Armgarð Mortensen.
