New 112-space daycare centre in Gøtugjógv

Eysturkommuna municipality has earmarked DKK 12 million this year for a large daycare centre near the school in Gøtugjógv. 

The rest of the funding for the centre, which will house 112 children, will be allocated in 2021 and 2022.

Architect firm Osbjørn Jacobsen Arkitektar has put a special focus on nature, functionality and creativity in the design. The two-storey building will be merged with the terrain surface, and the children will have easy access to the garden and the grove outside.

Younger children will be housed in the upper floor, while the older ones will be in the lower floor.
