Plans for a bike-friendly capital

Tórshavn City Council has set out to improve conditions for cyclists.

DKK 1 million has been earmarked this year for cycling-related investments, and DKK 2 million will be set aside for cycling annually in the city council’s long-term investment plan.

The plan includes setting up bicycle parking stands with air compressors for tyres, spanners and other useful tools, allowing bikes on buses at certain times the day, and creating slanted kerbs on all pavements and bike lanes.
