Oil thieves on the loose

Police are investigating numerous theft cases involving oil.

Earlier this month, three oil thefts totalling almost 2,000 litres were reported in the northern part of the country.

And further oil thefts have now been reported in the past few days, with some of the cases involving up to 800 litres.

According to the police, these thefts have required careful planning and execution.

There are also suspicions of shipping containers being broken into in harbours across the country.
