Nurse strike extends to emergency call service

The ongoing nurse strike will extend to the ‘kommunulæknavaktin’ emergency call service at Tórshavn’s National Hospital on Friday at 4pm.

If no strike exceptions can be negotiated for this section of the strike, the emergency call service capacity will be cut in half.

Nurses at the National Hospital’s A3 unit, along with nurses at Suðuroy Hospital’s inpatient ward, go on strike tomorrow at 3pm.
