New networks to improve pedagogical activities

Four municipalities and nine recreation and daycare centres have formed networks as part of a pedagogical development plan aimed at improving daycare work.

The municipalities are Nes, Sunda, Eiðis and Vága municipality.

Each network consists of three institutions, each with two pedagogues and a centre manager.

The networks are tasked with improving areas such as communications with parents, language development, the transition from ‘vøggustova’ to ‘barnagarður’ and professional relations with parents with whom pedagogues have personal relations.

Nine institutions

The institutions that have formed pedagogical networks are:

Barnagarðurin á Svangaskarði, Toftir

Frítíðarskúlin in Nes municipality

Korndalsgarður, Eiði

Dagstovnurin á Flatinum, Oyrabakki

við Kráir, Hvalvík

Stórheygg, Hósvík

Sóljugarður, Sandavágur

Miðgarður, Miðvágur
