Busy fish factory builds flats for migrant workers

Knowing that is not easy to find accommodation in Leirvík, staff-strapped fish factory Tavan is planning to build five new flats for migrant workers.

The plan is to build the flats near the company’s factory at the harbour.

Joen Magnus Rasmussen, CEO of Tavan, says the flats will be rented out for other purposes in periods when they are not required by foreign workers.
