Eight positive Covid tests were registered yesterday, reports corona.fo.

Six of these are linked to known chains of infection. One tested positive on arrival from abroad, while one person’s infection source remains unknown.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 23, 12, 11, 7, 7, 9 and 8.

No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 716 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated yesterday, 33,373 people (62.5 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 25,470 (47.7 percent) have received the second shot.

Plenty of vaccine doses are available to everyone aged 16 and over. Click here to book your vaccination appointment.

Those requiring assistance with filling in the forms can call 304545 on weekdays between 2pm and 4pm.
