Another eight new Covid cases

Eight new Covid cases were registered yesterday, reports corona.fo.

Two were infected domestically and both are linked to known chains of infection. One tested positive on arrival from abroad, one in a follow-up test one day after arrival and four in follow-up tests four days after arrival.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 7, 7, 9, 8, 4, 8 and 8.

No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 597 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 33,951 people (63.6 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 26,473 (49.6 percent) have received the second shot.
