Old hotel to undergo major facelift
All rooms at Tórshavn’s Hotel Hafnia will be upgraded and improvements will be made throughout the building

Hotel Hafnia will close for the next few months due to major upgrades.
The aim is to be awarded Green Key certification, which is the international eco-label of the tourist industry, says hotel manager Pætur Trond Thomsen.
All the hotel’s activities will be transferred to Hotel Brandan while the refurbishment work is being done, he adds.
Hotel Hafnia dates back to 1951. The hotel is expected to reopen in March/April 2022.
