Rissole sandwich filling recalled

Consumers in the Faroes are advised not to eat a popular rissole sandwich filler known as ‘frikadellepølse’.

The product in question is the frikadellepølse (pictured above) produced by Coop Denmark, which is also available in the Faroes.

The Faroese Food Agency urges those who have purchased the product to either return it to the store where they bought it or throw it away.

It has emerged that the packaging contains yeast-like substances which may cause unwanted microorganism growth.

The recalled product has a net weight of 120g and has a ‘best before’ date of up to and including 28 August 2018.
