Hospital situation “under control”

Only negative Covid test results came out of the contact tracing process at the National Hospital after a staff member and a patient tested positive on Saturday.
As reported yesterday, the Hospital Service responded to the positive tests by closing all three hospitals for visitors as a precautionary measure to prevent the virus from entering the hospitals.
This visitor ban will, however, remain in place in all of the country’s three hospitals for the time being, possibly up to two weeks, according to the Hospital Service management.
One new case yesterday
One new Covid case was registered yesterday, bringing the number of active cases up to 29.
Over the past week, the daily numbers of positive tests have been as follows: 2, 2, 2, 0, 5, 7 and 1.
Two people are receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 70 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.
