Vaccinations in Runavík

A drop-in vaccination site has been set up in Runavík’s Skótahúsið.
It will be open on Tuesday from 4pm to 6pm. No pre-booking is required.
Keep in mind that a minimum of 21 days must have passed between the first and the second jab.
Permission required for children
A parent or a custodian will need to approve and be present for vaccinations of children aged 12-14.
This requirement does not apply to the second shot if the parent or custodian has approved both shots.
Two new Covid cases
Two people tested Covid positive yesterday. One is linked to a known chain of infection and the other tested positive on arrival from abroad. No positive tests were registered on Thursday and Friday.
The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 0, 1, 0, 2, 0, 0 and 2.
There are currently five active Covid-19 cases in the country. No-one is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 14 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated on Friday, 36,266 people (67.9 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 33,684 (63.1 percent) have received the second shot.
