Tórshavn changes guidelines on school choice
Tórshavn City Council has updated its guidelines on school choice.
The reason for the change is that the number of pupils registered at the city’s newest school, Skúlin á Fløtum, last year was well over the school’s capacity.
With the new change, children who are registered with an oversubscribed school are transferred to another school in the same catchment area.
The catchment areas are defined based on the number of children of school-starting age in each area.
