Two fatalities shortly after vaccinations

Two people have died in the Faroes shortly after receiving their Covid jab.
The law requires that an inquest is launched when people die within seven days of receiving a vaccine.
The Faroese chief medical officer knows of two such cases.
So said health minister Kaj Leo Holm Johannesen in his reply to an enquiry from MP Steffan Klein Poulsen regarding Covid statistics.

A total of 13 Covid-related fatalities have so far been registered in the Faroes.
Three Covid patients have been on ventilators.
The minister added that the Covid vaccine is especially effective for young people, and that, in general, vaccinated people are nine times less likely to be infected than unvaccinated people.
