Nine new Covid cases
There are currently 25 active Covid-19 cases in the country

Yesterday’s round of 2,165 tests yielded nine positive outcomes.

Four tested positive after arriving from abroad, one upon arrival and the other three in follow-up tests.

Five were infected domestically. Four of these are linked to a known chain of infection, while the source of the fifth person’s infection remains unknown.

The daily numbers of positive tests over the past week have been as follows: 1, 2, 0, 3, 0, 3 and 9.

One person is receiving hospital treatment for Covid-19, and 160 people are currently listed as being in quarantine.

According to the latest vaccination figures on corona.fo, updated today, 30,401 people (57 percent of the population) have received the first shot of the vaccine, while 20,540 (38.5 percent) have received the second shot.
