Music awards show cancelled amid virus fears

The FMA board has decided that it is inadvisable to go ahead with the show, which was due to take place tonight in the Nordic House.
Health authorities have recommended that no events with more than 500 participants should be held while the coronavirus risk is present. Some 400-500 people were expected at the FMA event.
“We are obviously very disappointed that we cannot go ahead as planned,” says FMA organiser Rólant Waag Dam. “Now we are preparing a TV programme tonight in which we can announce the winners of the awards.”
No audience and no live music
Details of this programme regarding format and content are not yet available, but it is clear that there will be no audience and no live performances from the Nordic House.
”We are doing everything we can to ensure that the all hard work has not been done in vain,” says Dam.
Those who have purchased a ticket to the FMA can contact the Nordic House for a refund.
