Big drop in domestic travel

Ferry passenger numbers went from 72,105 in May 2019 to 46,973 in May 2020, a decline of almost 35 percent.

Passenger numbers dwindled on all routes except the Haraldssund-Fugloy/Svínoy route, which saw a year-on-year increase of 100 passengers.

Coach services saw an even bigger drop in passenger numbers, going from 45,345 in May last year to 13,016 in May this year, a drop of 71.3 percent.
