Witness appeal after vandalism in village

Vandals have damaged an industrial building in the harbour area of Hvalvík, Streymoy.
Police say that the vandals broke into the building and drove a forklift through a large garage door and then crashed into a car inside the building, causing great damage.
The vandals also attempted to push a car into the sea, but the car crashed into a cistern before making it to the quayside. The impact also caused damage to a nearby boat.
Electric cables inside the building have been cut and many ceiling lamps have been broken.
Police were informed of the vandalism this morning, and they believe it took place between 8pm last night and 7am this morning.
Anyone with any relevant information about this matter is asked to contact the police. Video recordings from the area are of particular interest.
