More than 20 nationalities in Eiði

Eiði municipality, which includes the town of Eiði and villages Ljósá and Svínáir, now has a population of 810, which is the highest it has ever been.

More than 20 nationalities are represented in the municipality.

The population was just below 700 at the turn of the century and reached 659 in 2010.

Since then, the number has been on a steady increase, increasing by more than 30 people last year.
